about 7 gates

In a world where modern Western approaches to healing and mental health are failing, 7 Gates offers sanctuary.

As integrative medicine practitioners, ritualists, and educators, we center nature-honoring methodologies as the path to healing fragmentation in ourselves and our ecosystems.

We practice holistic care that acknowledges the complex interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit and the psychological impacts of individual and collective trauma.

We believe that all bodies are capable of healing given the right container, context and access to support, and we see psychedelic mushrooms as a potent, generous ally.

Through our accessible health equity sister-organization, Be Well Holistic Health, we can bundle psilocybin sessions with personalized neuro-protocols, acupuncture and adjunctive therapies to facilitate profound healing and wellness.

We look forward to meeting you and supporting your healing.

We are a team of co-founders joined by our shared passion for health-equity, radical mental health care and integrative, holistic medicine that considers the whole person, including the psychological impact of systemic forces, epigenetic and collective traumas, and unseen energetic realms that impact our health and wellbeing.

Our experiences and passions converged in our collaborative work at 7 Gates’ Sister Clinic: Be Well Holistic Health, a non-profit Integrative Holistic Neurology Clinic dedicated to health-equity, accepting Oregon Health Plan, offering sliding scale and trade commerce options to ensure financial accessibility to high caliber wrap-around services including hyperbaric oxygen treatments, medical nutrition, psychotherapy, neuro-acupuncture, physical therapy, watsu water therapy and naturopathic primary care.

Dessa brings a well of experience in organizational development, commitment to accessible care and relational team-building as the founder and Medical Director of Teamworks and Be Well Holistic Health. Doug brings decades of devotion to alternative and integrative ways to work with complex brain challenges and chronic pain. Mars brings a decade of culture-shifting activism, strategy and community education aimed at unlearning modern western wellness frameworks in favor of more imaginative, decolonial futures. Together we are committed to radical healing. We bow in gratitude to our operations team and to the growing network of licensed psilocybin facilitators who make this dream possible.

who we are

our HOPE & COMMITMENt

We are committed to navigating the cultural complexity and transformative healing potentials of psilocybin treatment legalization with integrity, humility and accessibility.

  • May we in the west find humble ways to integrate all original medicines in a good and integrous way into the trouble of this moment.
  • May the mushrooms reach the spiritual crisis at the heart of modernity; may they interrupt the extractive systems that exponentially harm indigenous and communities of color while stealing their land, medicines and lifeways in the name of “progress” and “healing”.
  • May we honor the indigenous communities and ecosystems psychedelic mushrooms belong to, as we integrate them in western contexts.
  • May all sacred plants resist the shackles of patents; may they resist atomization and desecration; may they sprout seeds of resistance and accelerate the societal transformation we need. Now and now and now.
